HTAA BASKETBALL -
"TOWN" (RECREATIONAL) LEAGUE PROGRAM:
The HTAA "town" program provides
instruction and games in a recreational format for over 250 Haddon
Township boys and girls.
The program consists of
three divisions
for for boys 3rd thru 9th grades:
"Beginner
division" for 3rd and 4th graders,
"Junior division"
for 5th and 6th graders,
"Senior division" for 7th,
8th, and 9th graders.
Due to historically low registrations for girls in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, the girls town program will consist of
two divisions:
Beginner Girls: 3rd/4th Grade
Junior Girls: 5th/6th
grades
Typically, practices are held
for the Beginner and Junior divisions on Saturday
afternoons (the Senior division will have few if any in-season
practices, just games). Games are typically held on Sunday afternoons between Noon and
5pm. Practices will start in December, depending on gym availability - your
son's/daughter's coach will call or email. Games will start
by the first weekend after January 1st at the latest, possibly
sooner, mid-December - practices and games are held at
either HTHS Upper or Lower gyms, Rohrer Middle School, & possibly Edison
school.

HTAA 2nd
GRADE CLINIC:
The HTAA 2nd grade clinic is a starter program for
kids to learn the basics of the game of basketball. The
clinic sessions will focus on teaching kids the basics of
dribbling, passing, shooting lay-ups, playing defense, etc.
Most of the sessions will consist of skills and drills and games
will be played the last few weeks toward the end of this 6 week
program. There are separate programs for boys and girls.
Typically, clinic sessions are held on either
Saturday or Sunday afternoons in January and February. We
usually start the clinic on the second weekend in January - if
you registered your son/daughter, you
will receive an email in late December or early January with
details.
